Belarus to tighten control over movement of goods on major Belarus-Russia roads on June 17
One June 17, at 9am, Belarus introduces tighter control over the movement of goods on major Belarus-Russia motorways, Alexander Shpilevsky, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Belarus, told reporters on June 16.
This measure was authorized by the Belarusian head of state. According to Alexander Shpilevsky, this move is reasonable. “On June 1-15, 2009, the customs services of
seized smuggled goods worth Br8.620 billion,” he said.
