The VI CIS and Baltic States Bond Congress will take place in Minsk on June 18-19, organisers of the forum. 

The congress will be a major event on the CIS market of debt securities. Holding the event in Minsk testifies to the increased interest in ’ bond market. 

Uniting participants of bond markets of Russia, Ukraine, and other CIS states, the summer conference has been held every year since 2004. Various financial centres of the CIS and Baltic states are chosen to host it. Participants are mainly representatives of leading banks, investment companies, and issuers from , the Baltic states, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, other CIS states as well as European states. The congress would gather around 200 people in previous years. 

There are plans to discuss problems and prospects of bond markets in the CIS states at the forthcoming congress as well as the investment attractiveness and risks. Market participants from different countries will be able to share their experience concerning problem issues, discuss opportunities of investing in debt instruments of neighbouring countries. 

At present corporate bonds represent one of the most promising ways to attract investments for large Belarusian companies and banks. Taking into account the liberalisation of the securities market, the constantly growing interest of stock market subjects in bonded borrowing, the congress is undoubtedly interesting from the point of view of the home market development, seeking new ways and studying the experience of foreign countries.
