A culture and business centre House of Moscow opens in Minsk on 24 July. A Moscow delegation arrives in Minsk to take part in the opening ceremony, it was learnt from representatives of the Moscow City Hall. 

It was reported earlier that Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov will be not able to attend the opening ceremony because of an injury to the leg. Instead of him, the Moscow delegation will be led by First Deputy Mayor of Moscow Vladimir Resin. 

The House of Moscow was built in Kommunisticheskaya Street using Belarusian construction materials and Moscow funding. The investments total RUB536 million. 

It is a four-storey building in a classic Moscow style. It houses a cinema hall, a presidium room, a shop selling books and souvenirs, a cafe bar, office premises, a small hotel, a library and a conference hall. 

The House of Moscow will represent interests of the Russian capital in Belarus and is expected to promote cultural and business ties.
