The Belarus National Statistical Committee and the Poland Central Statistical Office have signed the agreement on cooperation during a session in Grodno, it was learnt from the Belarus National Statistical Committee.

The signed agreement will help the Belarus National Statistical Committee establish closer business relations with Polish counterparts, organize an exchange of operative statistical data on a regular basis. Substantially, the data will touch upon the issues related to the boundary cooperation and the mutual trade. The agreement will help the Belarus Government make decisions within the framework of developing the trade and economic cooperation with Poland.

Representatives of the Belarus National Statistical Committee and the Poland Central Statistical Office discussed the bilateral cooperation at the level of central and territorial statistical bodies. In particular, they considered the exchange of the statistical data about the socio-economic situation in both the countries, the use of up-to-date information technologies. Specialists discussed the collection and processing of the statistical data related to forest management, environment protection, tourism, population’s living standard, small-scale business and others. The sides considered the regional cooperation: statistical data exchange, joint publication of the statistical reports which characterize the state of the boundary areas of Belarus and Poland.
