India is interested in concluding long-term contracts with Belarus on the acquisition of its potash fertilizers, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Ramesh Chander told a press conference on 11 August.

The diplomat noted that India imports great amounts of potash fertilizers taking into account the country’s high demand in the product. The country is interested in signing potash fertilizer long-term contracts with many countries including Belarus.

In July India signed a contract with Belarus on purchasing 675 million tonnes of potash fertilizers. The Ambassador has stressed that potash fertilizer imports from Belarus is one of the most significant areas of the mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
