Rosselkhoznadzor, the Russian Federal Agency of Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, lifted export restrictions on two Belarusian companies, Daria Kozlovskaya, the spokeswoman for the Agriculture and Food Ministry of Belarus, told on 20 August.

Berezino creamery resumes its export to Russia on 20 August, and Slonim meat packing plant on 1 September.

The decision on lifting the restrictions was made after the two companies had strengthened control over the production safety and after the State Veterinary Service of Belarus offered guarantees that these companies meet the Russian sanitary and epidemiological regulations.

“The Ministry of Agriculture and Food requires that Belarusian companies make sure that no antibiotics get into animal products,” said Daria Kozlovskaya.

Slutsk creamery will be included into the list of Belarusian companies approved by Rosselkhoznadzor on September 1, Daria Kozlovskaya added.
