This year Belarus needs to reach all the social targets, Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Sidorskiy told a session of the Council of Ministers of December 18. According to him, in December real incomes of the population grew 15% more than it was projected. In December, wages will average Br750 thousand. “Belarus has done everything necessary to make sure that foreign economic factors have a minimum impact on people,” the Prime Minister noted. In 2007, pensions were increased two times; the government paid priority attention to development of utilities industry, other social issues “so that the population could receive everything what has been envisaged in the social programmes.”
