In January-October 2009, Grodno Cannery affiliated with the Grodnopishcheprom company manufactured products worth Br6.765 billion or up 85.8% over the same period last year, it was learnt from Grodno Cannery Director Stanislav Greshchik.

Over this period the company produced 6.7 million standard cans of fruit and vegetable preserves, including pickles, tomatoes, green peas, garnish beet and other canned goods. The company earned about Br6 billion or up 93.8% over the same period in 2008. The export in dollar terms rose almost by one third. By the way, 50% of the abovementioned products are sold in the Russian Federation.

At present the company is busy making apple juice and puree and salads from carrots.

According to Stanislav Greshchik, in line with the large-scale upgrade project launched in 2007 the company installed cutting-edge equipment to make juices and puree which in turn enhanced the quality of products. All the canned goods have been certified and meet the world’s standards. The production capacity of the plant is 13.5 million standard cans.

Grodno Cannery was established in 1958. The company is now among Belarus’ major producers of canned fruits, vegetables and berries, juices and puree. The product portfolio of the enterprise includes over 50 descriptions of products. The company employs 140 people.
