Belarus and Romania have agreed to extend the legal framework of cooperation by means of signing agreements on cooperation in standardization, tourism, science and technology including agreements between customs authorities and exhibition companies of the two countries, it was learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The sides have discussed the state and development prospects of trade and economic relations between Belarus and Romania during a meeting of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Romanian Commission for Economic Cooperation in Bucharest. The countries have identified promising avenues of cooperation including those in industry, agriculture and transport.

A Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Valery Voronetsky, the Romanian delegation by the secretary of state with the Ministry for SMEs, Trade and Business, Maria Parcalabescu. The Belarusian delegation also included representatives of the Ministry of Industry, State Customs Committee, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Belexpo National Exhibition Centre.
