Sidorsky urges to spread Lakokraska technologies across Belarus

The chemical waste treatment technologies used by the Lakokraska company should be implemented throughout the country, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky said when visiting the Lakokraska company in Lida.

“The company has adopted a good program on the development of chemical waste treatment facilities,” Sergei Sidorsky said. This is the only treatment facility of the kind used by paint and varnish companies in the CIS. Some 850 liters of biomass are produced from one tonne of wastes. “Such technologies should be spread throughout the country”, said the Prime Minister.

Sergei Sidorsky visited Lakokraska to learn how the events envisaged in the Homeland Year Program are implemented. In particular he was interested in nature preservation measures. The factory has modernized the phthalic anhydride production shop. The chlorides content in the industrial wastewaters has been reduced two times. CO2 emissions have been decreased by 75%.

“We need to see these chemical waste treatment technologies in a new light and seek to make the maximum use of them”, said Sergei Sidorsky.
