The U.S. Treasury renewed temporary waivers for two companies covered by U.S. sanctions, Polotsk Steklovolokno and Lakokraska, informs the official website of the U.S. Treasury, it was learnt.

The temporary waivers will be in force till 31 May 2010.

A reminder, in November 2007, the U.S. imposed economic sanctions on the Belneftekhim concern. On 5 September 2008, the U.S. introduced limited sanctions waivers for Polotsk Steklovolokno and Lakokraska for half a year. In February 2009 this decision was extended till 1 June 2009, then till 30 November 2009.
