Gomselmash to showcase grain harvester Palesse GS812 in Uzbekistan

The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Gomselmash will present its self-propelled grain harvester Palesse GS812 for the first time at the international agribusiness expo UzAgroExpo 2009. The event will take place in Tashkent on 25-27 November, Gomselmash Marketing Center Director Vladimir Frolov told.

Gomselmash’s interests will be represented by the dealership center Kammaz Arsenal. In view of the low purchasing capacity of Uzbekistan agrarians the demo harvester will have only basic options.

Along with promoting this particular harvester to the Uzbekistan market via the expo Gomselmash is intent on attracting the attention of specialists from neighboring countries, which markets of grain harvesters are larger. Those are Kazakhstan, Iran and eastern parts of Russia. “We already work in these countries, however, the potential for supplying more machines has not been exhausted yet,” said Vladimir Frolov.

Founded in 1978, the manufacturing corporation Gomselmash stems from the plant Gomselmash that was founded in 1930. The Gomel-based mechanical engineering company is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machines in the CIS and Europe. Gomselmash offers self-propelled and towed harvesters and mowing crushers, grain harvesters, mounted mower-shredders. The company also makes precision seed drills, tractor trailers and ploughs, walk-behind tractors bundled with sets of mounted instruments, tree planters, and car trailers. The company employs 17,000 people.
