Further improvement of the CIS observation mission will be discussed in an informal summit in Moscow on 20 December, Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary Vladimir Garkun told media at the exhibition marking the 20th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Minsk on 8 December.

In his words, the agenda of the meeting is defined by the host country. The heads of state may consider networking and IT penetration in the CIS, he said.

“The summit will be dominated by the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the CIS. The leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States might adopt a joint statement on the anniversary of the Commonwealth,” Vladimir Garkun said.
