Cooperation prospects and the implementation of joint projects between and in energy efficiency, electric and water supply, environmental protection will top the agenda of the visit of a delegation of German businessmen from Rheinland-Pfalz and Saar . The visit has been organized by these German federal states jointly with the Center for Central and Eastern Europe (CCEE) of Rheinland-Pfalz GmbH. The visit will take place on June 15-16, it is known from head of the representative office of the German economy in Belarus Vladimir Avgustinsky. 

The programme of the visit provides an information seminar with the participation of the state governmental bodies and a contact and cooperation exchange together with the Belarusian companies. The delegation is interested in meeting with members of the Minsk City Hall special subdivisions and services, representatives of the Ministry for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. 

“During the meeting, members of the German delegation would like to present the tasks and goals of the Centre to assist development of trade and economic ties of the federal land of Rheinland-Pfalz with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and also to get the information about the economic and investment activities in Belarus to establish the cooperation of German and Belarusian companies,” Vladimir Avgustinsky said. 

According to him, representatives of the German delegation are also interested in priorities of the economic policy of in the environmental and ecological areas. They also show their interest in exchange of experience in construction and use of sewage disposal plants, wastes recovery and burning, the use of renewable energy resources (biomass, wind and solar power). 

The German guests would like to discuss all the possibilities of the cooperation and transfer of new technologies in organization of public transport in and Minsk . 

On June 16, the delegation will take part in the information seminar where the German companies will be informed about the economic potential of , the liberalization of the Belarusian economy, the investment and business climate in the country, the state regulation of the foreign and economic activity, ’ plans for privatization. 

The Centre of Central and Eastern Europe Rheinland-Pfalz GmbH and the Rheinland-Pfalz Investment Bank will organize a presentation of the German region for Belarusian companies and organizations.
