Chinese companies are interested in expanding the cooperation with in construction, power engineering, machinery construction, the chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Wan Jifei, said at the opening of the Belarusian-Chinese trade and economic forum. 

A representative delegation of sixty people has arrived in Minsk for the forum, Mr Wan Jifei said. Most of them represent big Chinese companies which are involved in construction, power engineering, machinery construction and chemical industry. All members of the delegation are interested in cooperation with Belarusian companies. 

He also stressed that the trade and economic cooperation between and has been increasingly vibrant recently. is ’ largest trading partner in Asia . The countries have been recently stepping up investment and sci-tech cooperation, Mr Wan Jifei said. 

and have made great progress in political cooperation, Chinese Ambassador to Belarus Lu Guicheng said. The state leaders attach special attention to the development of the Belarusian-Chinese relations. At the same time the two countries have a potential in economic cooperation. The Ambassador expressed the confidence that today’s trade and economic forum will promote further development of economic cooperation between the two countries. 

The Belarusian-Chinese trade and economic forum is organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the assistance of the Foreign Ministry, Economy Ministry, the Embassy of China in Belarus and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
